What is SMSzipper?
SMSzipper compresses your SMS. Just install the SMSzipper software to your mobile phone (supported platforms) and you are ready to go! The program automatically starts once a compressed SMS is being received.

Compressing SMS allows you to send and receive longer SMS messages but paying just for one - no need for abbreviations anymore - just type as you would do normally. Accidentally sending two SMS just because you exceed the 160 character mark is eliminated by using SMSzipper.

SMSzipper also adds features such as forward or reply to your SMS interface - messages that are of specific importance for you may be marked with different labels for later recognition - even protected by a password.

Highlights
In addition to the basic functionality, some features formerly unknown to SMS communication will improve your SMS experience:

You may send and receive SMS that destroy themselves after a defined time - we call them selfdestruction SMS!
You can define a time in the future at which the SMS is shown in the receivers inbox - a scheduled SMS!
Last but not least, you can even add a subject, as known from email conversation, to your SMS - that makes it very easy to identify a thread within your SMSzipper inbox!


SMS Compression
The SMSzipper application uses a patent pending algorithm for compression of short text messages. While known algorithms and software for compression of text and data exists, these usually do not compress very short data or text blocks - the technology used for SMSzipper is optimized for short text messages.

In addition, the compressor and de-compressor are using external coding models that may be created for specific languages, types of messages, or codes in text based messages or data. This allows the extension of use cases suitable for the SMSzipper technology.
